Tried to keep this design simple and work on the details/typography.

 I really like the colors and the Typo but everything on the page has a bit too much grain

Just some little remarks to be constuctive and help you in your design process: What I like : - Color Scheme - Serif-font - Top menu baseline for each category, well spaced and positioned. - "Couture" style element (dotted line) - Good use of space - I like your logo - The minimalist style What I dislike : - The selected category of the top-menu ("Home" in this case) is less visible than the other categories. Maybe I would invert the colors and put a white color(more contrasted) on the selected category.? - The "slash" of the main title "/Hello" who isn't aligned with the left column - The font of the Introduction text (maybe too large for me). I have the same disturbing feeling for the descriptive text on the 3 square boxes > Maybe decrease the font-size? - The white space a the right / bottom-right of the copyright text. - All the white space at the bottom of the "footer" section. Globaly I like this webdesign for the simplicity and the color scheme but maybe you could improve the typography and the use of white space ? Good work man, really. In 1920 * 1080, this looks absolutely cool, but I think you're right for lower resolutions, titles must look really huge. - The "slash" of the main title "/Hello" who isn't aligned with the left column ==> I don't agree with that one, it gives something special to this title, which makes our look spot it faster than other elements. - The selected category of the top-menu ("Home" in this case) is less visible than the other categories. Maybe I would invert the colors and put a white color(more contrasted) on the selected category.? ==> This one is matter of habit, and for my own it's more logical to see what's on at the moment greyed because you won't click it anymore, and to attract the look on the possibilities you have. Critiques
- I don't understand the obsession a lot of designers have with the block-width theme. Namely, you've got our primary navigation pushed to the right-hand side in order to try to keep both the left and right sides of the layout "clean," but this goes contrary to the way the human eye works. Yes it might be prettier to keep both sides of the layout as solid and block-like as possible, but the human eye likes jagged eye paths because that helps the eye distinguish one section from another. This is better for casual viewing. It's like a helping hand...for your eye. So my suggestion is to move your nav back over to the left, closer to your logo.
- The layout overall is tidy, but it feels dull and lifeless. I don't think it's necessarily a lack of content that's to blame, though. This layout is just too monochrome and doesn't have enough elements that "pop." The introduction of the orange color is a great start, but you're using it in such uninteresting areas that it's not actually popping against the gray-blue.
I guess generally you need more contrasting colors. Not a ton, mind you, but enough to make this layout interesting for the human eye.
